Abstract

A new extension of the class of the ordinary Generalized Nets (GNs) is defined – GNs with Inhibitor Arcs (GNIA). In a GNIA, some of the arcs can inhibit the tokens that are transferred through them. Algorithm for transfer of tokens in GNIA and algorithm for GNIA functioning are described. It is proved that the class of all GNIAs is a conservative extension of the class of the ordinary GNs. The new extension can be used in the modelling of information service networks, such as overall telecommunication systems.
